Sales Manager New Works

REGIONAL SALES MANAGER NEW WORKS

The Position  

  • Commercial representation of the organization and project sales for new clients.

Main tasks

General :

  • He develops sales by promoting DEF’s products and technical solutions in a given sector and/or region.
  • He defines and implements the activities required to achieve the company’s sales policy.
  • He ensures that sales targets are met.
  • He is responsible for updating his portfolio of offers and reports monthly on his forecasts during the sales meeting.
  • He monitors developments in the market and in the competition
  • He maintains and increases the customer portfolio in his sector of activity
  • He carries out studies based on customer requirements, in compliance with applicable regulations and standards, if necessary with the help of colleagues.
  • Applies DEF Belgium procedures
  • Preparation of quotations and order management.
  • He develops and maintain relations with customers, prospective customers, design offices, architects and developers in the company’s sector of activity, through regular visits.
  • Prospection
  • Suggests the organization of local sales events and participates.
  • Ensures that the project complies with the specifications
  • Prepares and negotiates the proposal in line with the objectives set by DEF (margin, billable days, etc.).
  • Negotiates payment terms in accordance with the payment rules set by DEF.
  • Takes part in recovery actions in support of financial department
  • Communicates the necessary information to the CS to expand the portfolio of maintenance contracts for the new customers he has approached.
  • Communicating identified customer needs to the marketing department.

Performance indicators

  • Volume of orders
  • Contribution to margin from projects sold
  • Correct forecast
  • Total volume of offers opened (total amount and number)
  • Quality of proposed solutions
  • Acceptance of projects by the project manager

Main Skills

  • Knowledge of the standards and legislation applicable to fire detection and/or extinguishing
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Dutch/French
  • B driving licence

Specific Skills

  • Organisation (planning, discipline, etc.)
  • Time management & Flexibility
  • Ability to establish relationships with customers and sub-contractors
  • Negotiation skills
  • VCA certification
