On 26 October, DEF Belgium was pleased to welcome you to its stand at the IT Infrastructure Congress Flanders at the Montil in Affligem. You were able to meet Andy and Laurent, who introduced you to our fire detection solutions that are designed to meet the specific needs of Datacenters, as well as many other applications.
Our 1st participation to the Install Day exhibition last Friday was a great success! 🎉
The event gave us the opportunity to meet many professionals from the sector and present our fire detection solutions to them.

A day dedicated to technology.
Are you a student, electrician, heating engineer or plumber? They used to be completely different professions, but new technologies are bringing them ever closer together. Aware of this development, the organisers Techlink and Embuild have created a unique trade fair that brings together all these installation techniques (electricity, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and fire detection).
Install Day is an all-in-one event. In one day, in an easily accessible location, installers can see, feel and test all the new products, techniques, software, digital tools, …. And it’s all free!
With over 4,200 visitors in 2022, Install Day has become the industry’s must-attend event.
230 installers, manufacturers and suppliers will be showcasing their latest products and technologies.
All in an informal atmosphere where spontaneous encounters are at the heart of the show.

Thursday 1 June 2023, a beautiful sunny afternoon, ideal weather for a drink with colleagues and our ‘old’ colleagues.
This friendly and warm moment allowed retirees to feel particularly appreciated for their past contributions and for colleagues to express their gratitude. It was a nostalgic moment that reaffirmed the bond between the “old-timers” and current employees.
This afternoon was a beautiful way to celebrate the years spent together, the challenges tackled as a team, the highlights shared, and the successes achieved.
Founded in 1976, DEF Belgium – the Belgian representative of the DEF Network – celebrates 45 years and moves its offices to a new location.
Time for change
After occupying the old building on the Bergensesteenweg in Lot for 25 years, the thime had come to move to a building that matched DEF Belgium’s vision and identity.
The new building, located on the Gossetlaan in Groot-Bijgaarden, fully met these requirements :
Better accessibility and visibility, co-working and flex spaces for employees, large multi-purpose rooms, … In short, a new location fully adapted to the needs and challenges DEF Belgium is facing.
Pilot site and voice alarm evacuation
DEF’s core business is offering tailor-made solutions and services for fire detection systems, voice alarm evacuation, automatic extinguishing systems and IT Management systems. The new office is equipped with DEF’s new generation of detectors and CIE. Also, the traditional evacuation sirenes were replaced by voice-controlled evacuation.

The health of our colleagues, clients, partners, families and everyone around us comes first. The recent events and measures adopted by the government to limit the spread of the COVID19 virus, will force us to adapt our activities to the actual context in the coming days.
The adopted measures these last days were numerous (home office as much as possible, maintaining social distance, …)
Our sales team can still be reached to – remotely – support you in your projects. To protect our employees in the field, we have decided to, if necessary, focus on so-called critical interventions (for which our intervention is absolutely necessary to continue to guarantee fire safety). We’re also asking our customers, in case of intervention, to adopt the required measures to protect our employees.
